Uninor Run Ignites a Healthy Competitive Spirit

Nearly 100 specially-able children and more than 1500 Bangaloreans ran to support a competitive and healthy life. The law of competition is best demonstrated by a race because it ensures the survival of the fittest.  Uninor Karnataka joined hands with Runners for Life and Radio One to kick off a 5 km run starting from Kanteerva Stadium. Besides promoting Healthy competition the run also extended support to Samarthanam Trust for specially-able children. For every person participating in The Run, Uninor contributed Rs 20 to the charitable trust.  The uniqueness of the race is that there are no marshals to prevent runners from taking a short cut or otherwise, it will be honesty and the feeling of self achievement that will drive each one of them to go the whole distanceFlagging off the run, Mr. Yasir Azman, Circle Business Head, Karnataka said, “Business is akin to sports when it comes to competition. It ensures survival of the fittest. Competition keeps us on our toes and the large turnout of enthusiasts has really bolstered our spirits. “More than 1500 runners registered for the run, attesting healthy competition as a way of life. Uninor’s performance in Karnataka exemplifies true competition. It has added around 2.5 lakh subscribers, making it # 2 in the state for Jan 2012.
