Ramesh is a co-founder of Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, a non-profit organization focused on transforming quality of life in Urban India, Chairman of Janalakshmi Social Services and is also the National Technical Advisor, Government of India for the Jawarharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, the country's flagship urban mission.“Ramesh will be a stellar addition to the MindTree Board. He brings visionary thinking, capacity to question status quo and personal credibility to effect change. Ramesh holds a MS degree in Physics from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani and an MBA from Yale; he has travelled across the world in various capacities and also a Certified Financial Analyst from AIMR. He was nominated as one of the Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum in 2007
