Shivali Sahay:

Collection Theme / Name: "Curtains of Renaissance"

Collection Brief: "This season Blk Shi:p investigates the labyrinthine culture of The Renaissance period with its arty excellence and elaborate architecture adorned with convoluted draperies. Appreciating the proficient characteristics of the era, Blk Shi:p raises the de trop curtains of medieval customs and illustrates the evolution of time from the Renaissance to the Modern Era.

The fabrics that adorned the magnificent palaces form into flouncy drapes, slowly cocooning-out and cutting down to the practical dresses, jumpsuits and work wear for the women of Modern Era yet retaining the nostalgic intricacies of our dear old Renaissance."

Shruti Dudani:

Collection Brief: The whole idea of this winter /festive collection comes from the variegated charms of festivals, rituals, art, music and costume. Having Rajasthani roots, the designer chose to give the collection a Rajasthani touch.

Rajasthan is well known for its intricate gotta work. It has been used in an innovative way and creates a different surface texture, giving the garment a rich and heavy look but is light to wear, at the same time. Colors like bright shades of pink, red and green have been used to match the vibrancy of this form of embroidery. The collection also has few shades of rose pink and black as per the trend forecast.

Silhouette primarily remains simple, flary, anarkali-style with highlighted borders. There is also use

of stone work in the collection to add that extra bling. The collection consists of salwar suits and indowestern fusion gowns.
