Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure announces multi-city coffee meet-ups
Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure (India) today announced multi-city coffee meet-ups with entrepreneurs, starting May 27, 2013. The Accelerator program team will travel to four key startup hubs of India, namely, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai, to meet entrepreneurs and answer all their queries related to the startup ecosystem of India as well as the Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure (India) program. A similar meet-up will be conducted in Bangalore as well.

“While we are busy incubating the summer batch of our program, we are also receiving multiple online applications (http://www.microsoft.com/india/accelerator) for our winter batch, which will commence on July 15. We have already received 400 plus applications for this batch, and expect several more to come in before we close this round of applications on June 7. As we are going through every application to shortlist the top 15 startups which will make it to the winter batch of our program, we realize that while there is tremendous interest among India’s top talent to start a company of their own, many of them have apprehensions which stop them from doing so. This multi-city coffee meet is planned to help clear those apprehensions,” said Mukund Mohan, CEO-in-residence, Microsoft Accelerator for Windows Azure (India).

Elaborating on the plans, Mohan said: “Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Delhi have the maximum number of startups and startup aspirants in India and I keep getting several queries from them. However, nothing works better than a face-to-face meeting. Hence we have decided to devote an entire week, starting May 27, to travel to each of these locations and spend a day with these folks. While the Accelerator team will be available to answer questions, some of the startups who have benefited from our program will also be present to talk about their experiences.”

Attendee registration for the coffee meet-ups is free, and open to all. Anyone interested in attending/ knowing more about the initiative can check the links below:
