CORPORATION BANK HOLDS SME EXPO AT PEENYA

Corporation Bank Peenya SME Branch under the guidance of their Zonal Office, Bangalore [North] has organized a “SME EXPO” at Peenya Industries Association, Peenya Bangalore.  The meeting was organized by the bank to make aware the SME Entrepreneurs about the various products the bank is having mainly the loan products and other banking services.  The meeting was presided by Sri V S Kartikeyan, General Manager, Retail & SME Division from Head Office, Mangalore and Smt. Latha Girish, President of the Peenya Industries Association was the Chief Guest.  The meeting commenced with inauguration of the stalls of the bank where the various products were displayed and lighting the lamp by the dignitaries.

The meeting was attended by more than 100 SME clients which was a mixture of the existing and prospective clients for the bank.  The Chief Guest in her address has covered the problems of the SMEs and highlighted the present recession and given a hint to the mSMEs to be more cautious.  She has appreciated the Banks initiative of holding such meetings and making the entrepreneurs aware of the banking facilities.

In his presidential address, Sri Karthikeyan, General Manager of Corporation Bank has explained the products of the bank to the SMEs and said that the bank has now come to the customers to know their requirement, their expectations and to help the SMEs at the time of their need.  While addressing the gathering, he has explained that today SMEs are tomorrows Corporates and has quoted the success of MTD, NIRMA, Haldiram and Lays Chips and wished that the entrepreneurs from Bangalore must become such big corporate in the near future.  In the open session, the General Manager has replied to the queries of the customers with regard to financing, the guidelines on CGTMSE and also the Banks products.

Shri G Nagarajan, Deputy General Manager of Bangalore North Zone, initially welcomed the gathering and Shri N K Jayanand, Asst General Manager has made a presentation on various products of the banks to SMEs.  SME rating agency ONICRA has also explained the gathering about the rating and its importance to the SMEs and its benefits.  The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Shri C S Venkataramu, Chief Manager of Peenya Branch.
