International Conference on Agribusiness & Food Processing
As the curtains go up on the third edition of FICCI’s FOOD 360 on November 6-7, 2013 in Hyderabad, the agri-business and food processing industry in South India is set to receive a major fillip.

The event, to be inaugurated by the concerned ministers from Government of India and Government of Andhra Pradesh, will consist of a two-day International Conference, Industrial Exhibition, Food 360 Awards, CEO Conclave, and B2B Meetings.

The thematic focus of this third edition of FICCI Food 360 will be “The Next Wave of Opportunities” in agribusiness and food processing, with the first two editions having focused on the 360 degree value chain, and technology & innovation.

The timing of FICCI Food 360 coincides with World Agriculture Forum’s (WAF) biennial global congress & agri-tech trade fair, being organized in Hyderabad, with the theme “Reshaping Agriculture for a Sustainable Future: Focus on Small Farmholders”. The themes of the two events are complementary, and will have a multiplier effect on the region.

While the FICCI Food 360 conference & CEO conclave will highlight the huge potential for developing the agribusiness and food processing industry in south India, the exhibition will showcase the cutting edge technologies and services from around the world, and the B2B meetings will facilitate the linkages between local entrepreneurs and global players as well as Venture Capitalists.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. J A Chowdary, Co-Chairman of FICCI AP & Conference General Chair of Food 360 said that the two-day event will be a culmination of several regional Rythu Sadassu (farmers’ meet) already held at Ongole and Anantapur, and to be held at Guntur, Mahabub Nagar and Kakinada, so that the issues related to the farmers can be deliberated at the international conference and CEO Conclave.  

Briefing the media persons here today, Mr. S. Sivakumar, Programme Chair said that the experts participating in various sessions, will review, analyze and make predictions for the future of the agribusiness and food processing sector, covering agri services, risk management, value addition through processing, packaging, supply chain management.
