TiE Bangalore, (The Indus Entrepreneurs) a leading organization that fosters and nurtures Entrepreneurship celebrated the grand finale of “Anthah Prerana” a carefully thought out program that recognized entrepreneurs for their vision, innovation and articulation at The Lalit Hotel in Bangalore.
Often entrepreneurship gets reduced to money, hype and celebrity-hood. The entrepreneur’s deep driving desire that powers creation of one’s own destiny isn’t recognized. It is this inner drive that enables the entrepreneur to confront, work around, negotiate and solve insurmountable problems. TiE Bangalore hosted the first edition of “AnthahPrerana” to nurture the deep driving desire, self motivation of an entrepreneur.
The winning Entrepreneurs from the Social category were: Auto Raja, Jeeva- Glutenfreeliv.in, Kamal Kisan and Reap Benefit. The winners from the Commercial category were: Add on Gyan Educational Services Pvt. Ltd, Channelyst Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd, Health Macro Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Reinvent Life Sciences LLP, Somethings Cooking Culinary Arts Pvt. Ltd and Tourlandish.com.
The winning Entrepreneurs were chosen amongst 2 categories: Social and Commercial Enterprise. Anthah Prerana was aimed at plugging in essential gaps in the eco-system through ideas that represent business viability and feasibility.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naganand Doraswamy, President, TiE Bangalore said, “Initiatives like these are bound to bring a positive change in the startup ecosystem, especially in a country like ours, it is very essential to plug in the missing gaps. Anthah Prerana was aimed at encouraging the budding entrepreneurs to do their bit on filling the missing gaps, while encouraging the prospective ones.”
The winning Entrepreneurs will get to attend a 3 day offsite Bootcamp- wherein successful entrepreneurs share their stories, get mentored and interact with the who’s who of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bangalore. They will also receive a cash prize at the end of the 90 day accelerator program. Also, the Bootcamp is supported by some of the best partners in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The panel who shortlisted the winners comprised of dignitaries like Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education and Krishnakumar Natarajan, Co-founder, CEO & Managing Director Mindtree, who were jury co-chairs. Other jury members included M. J. Aravind, Co-Managing Trustee, Dhwani Foundation, Dr. Ashish Gupta, Senior Managing Director, Helion Ventures, Bharati Jacob, Founding-Partner, Seedfund, Ganesh Krishnan, Serial Entrepreneur, Promoter, Investor and Incubator, Prof. S.
