Wings Logistics and Orient Fans secure last two spots at Golf National Finals

As the sun set on an exciting day of golf at the Eagleton Golf Resort where the first regional qualifiers for the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge closed. The teams from Wings Logistics and Orient Fans secured the top two positions on Day 2 to join yesterday's winners Parrys Enterprise and Vasant Group as competing teams at the national finals to be held in April next year.



With over a hundred golfers vying for the coveted spot on the National Finals, Eagleton witnessed exciting golf as local teams from Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Deutsche Bank, GE, HP Taj West End among others strived to turn in their best performances. The team of Wing Logistics, represented by C S Harsha and Mr, Tony Udagedara closed the day of play with a combined score of 81 points to take the top honors at Saturday's play.

A frequent golfer at the KGA, C. S Harsha (Handicap 17)  scored 38 Nett points and was accompanied by team-mate Tony Udagadera (Handicap 19) who added 41 points Nett to confirming a spot for Wings Logistics at the national finals with a combined score of 81 Points. In further recognition of his great day on the course, Mr. Udagadera had also won the Shriram Ventures Best Gross Score with a Gross Score of 79 and 29 Gross Points. Ending the day with a total of 81 Points, Team Wings Logistics were a mile ahead of all other teams with Orient Fans closing in on the second available spot with a total score of 68 Nett points. The Orient Fans Team of Ishant Patodia and Udayan Patodia started with a Handicap of 12 and 14 respectively, and while Ishant ended his day with a score of 38 Nett Points, Udayan closed day of play at a score of 30 Nett Points.   ,



The four teams from Bangalore, Parry Enterpises, Vasant Group, Wings Logistics and Orient Fans will compete with 12 other teams at the national finals  for an opportunity to represent India at the World Finals to be held at the at the quaint Carrick Golf Course, on Loch Lomond, Scotland from the 7th to 12th May 2013.



With the first regional qualifiers in Bangalore concluded, the next round of qualifiers are scheduled for Kolkata on 15th December, followed by qualifiers in Mumbai on 5th and 6th January 2013, Hyderabad qualifiers on 19th January and will conclude with qualifiers in Delhi on the 8th and 9th February 2013.
