The third symposium of 'Invest Bhubaneswar: Connecting Odisha,' an event to promote investment in the state, concluded at KIIT Auditorium, Bhubaneswar today.
The second day of the two-day programme is marked with great thoughts & views on Finance and funding, start up and innovation in IT, edutainment and animation, green tech through various technical sessions and a special session on opportunity for higher technical education in US for students from Odisha. The focus of the event is to create a market for investment in the State and to facilitate investment in various sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. J. K. Mohapatra, IAS, Development Commissioner-cum-Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Odisha explained on the potential of entrepreneurship in the State and various processes involved in the development of new entrepreneurship in the state at the opening session on finance and funding. While attending as Chairman of the sessions of the symposium, Mr. M. S. Padhi, IAS, Secretary IT Department and Mr. T. Ramachandru, IAS, CMD IDCOL Govt. of Odisha have explained on the start up and innovation in IT and Green Tech respectively and moderated the session.
Mr. Kulamani Biswal, Director Finance, MCL had announced that MCL would invest Rs.4,600 crore in vertical integrated solar value chain right from quartz mining to solar modules. Mahanadi Coal Fields plans to produce 6,000 metric tone of Silicon which will be sufficient for the installation of 1,000 mega watt of solar power plant.
