Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) today announced an expansion of their managed print services capabilities (MPS) in India as a part of a comprehensive plan to grow Lexmark India operations at 78% CAGR in the next four years. Lexmark's MPS solutions have enabled global and local enterprises in India to improve productivity and reduce cost across a broad range of industries such as education, financial services, government, information technology and telecom. In the recent months, Lexmark won 23 new MPS contracts with companies listed on either the Global 500 or Fortune 500 list.
Lexmark recently completed three software acquisitions, they are:
· Brainware: a leading provider of intelligent data capture, strengthens Lexmark as a technology leader in business processes that require intelligent data capture and workflow solutions in industries including higher education, financial services, and healthcare.
· ISYS: a leader in high-performance enterprise and federated search and document filtering technology, which extends Lexmark's leadership position in surfacing critical content to the user in both structured and unstructured business processes.
· Nolij: a prominent provider of Web-based imaging, document management and workflow solutions for the higher education market, which combined with Perceptive Software, provide a complete range of content management solutions to more than 700 higher education institutions.
All these are being integrated into Perceptive Software, strengthening MPS, end-to-end business process solutions as well as content management solutions.
In 2011, Lexmark was recognized as an MPS leader by IT research firm IDC's MPS MarketScape report, which analyzes the competitive fitness of companies providing MPS. The study showed that Lexmark earned high marks on its MPS strategy and capabilities, particularly in the areas of customer retention, customer service, operational execution and go-to-market approach.
