Commenting on his victory, Sangwan said, "It was a good day. I got a little lucky, even though I missed a few putts but it worked out for me in the end. It was especially good for me because I had to power through severe cramps post the 13th hole."
Shubankar Sharma, who finished second in the combined under 14 and under 18 categories and first in the under 18 category opined, "I was playing well. I was leading my group with a score of 3 under par at one point. I had a good shot but hit the floodlight on the 18th and that set me back."
As the sun descends on KGA and the young lads head to the third leg of the tour in Bombay, the Toyota - IGU tournament reinstated its reputation as an extremely competitive tournament on par with the biggest junior tournaments in the world. With practice rounds that commenced on Monday, and a Golf Clinic by Arjuna Awardee Harmeet Kahlon of Chandigarh, this week was nothing short of exciting for these young lads, who are determined to make a mark on Golf in India.
