McDowell's No.1 Launches Market-first Two Litre Bottle with a Guala Ca
McDowell’s No.1, India’s largest selling whisky brand, launches a special two litre bottle with a non-refillable and tamper-proof, ‘Guala Cap’. This launch is yet another pioneering initiative by McDowell’s No.1, as it the first whisky in its segment to launch this thoughtfully designed bottle with a tamper resistant cap.
The innovative two litre PET bottle comes with a special grip for ease of carrying and is available for both McDowell’s No.1 and McDowell’s No.1 Platinum whisky. Additionally, the new two litre eco-friendly bottle is low in weight and made of recyclable products hence producing a lesser carbon footprint. These bottles are produced by Precision Injection Stretch Blow Moulding with spot-cooling technology to create the perfect handle fit. The new two litre bottle is available across Delhi and Maharashtra. McDowell’s No.1 is priced at Rs. 760 in Delhi and Rs.1320 in Maharashtra, whereas McDowell’s No.1 Platinum is priced at Rs. 900 in Delhi and Rs. 1500 in Maharashtra

The brand created world history by crossing sales of 1 million cases in its first year of launch itself. It has also been a pioneer in innovation, packaging, blend and marketing. Proof of its quality and special appeal is further endorsed by the launch of this innovative ‘Guala Cap’ that guarantees superior quality standards every time, by preventing tampering or altering the bottle’s content.

For the close of FY 12, McDowell’s No.1 whisky and its variants have emerged as the largest selling whisky franchise in India, achieving a record 16.9 million cases. McDowell’s No.1 spirits franchise further set a record as the largest alcobev brand in the world with over 44millon cases sold, and a growth of 9% across a large volume base in FY 12. With entry in the emerging markets of South East Asia and Africa, the franchise will seek to consolidate its number one position even further.
