Vijaya Bank inaugurates its 1333rd  branch  at Kovilpathagai, Chennai
The 1333rd branch of Vijaya Bank was inaugurated at Kovilpathagai  in Thiruvallur District by Shri K.R. Shenoy, Executive Director, Vijaya Bank.

Kovilpathagai is the 84th branch in Tamil Nadu state and 45th branch in Chennai Region. In alignment with the National priority of Government of India, the branch has been opened in an unbanked village at Thiruvallur District. The bank aims to reach out to the rural customers through its newly opened branch. Prof. Vel Rangarajan, Chancellor, Vel Tech University graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Realizing the constantly evolving and diverse needs of its customers, the e-payment portal of commercial taxes for the tax payers of Tamil Nadu state was also launched after the branch inauguration by Shri Shenoy, Executive Director.

Vijaya bank has been one of the major nationalized banks in the country clocking several milestones and fuelling nation’s growth. Spearheading a business of over Rs. 1, 50,000 crore as on 31st December, 2012, the bank has been at the forefront in ushering a new era of growth and all round progress. The bank has an all India presence with 1333 Branches and 760 ATMs.
