Changampally Vaidya Bhavan
Evolved from Changampally, Gurukkal family has been one of the most renowned Ayurvedic practioners in Malappuram district of Kerala. They are specialized in Asthi Marma Chikitsa and were popular for their expertise in Kalarippayattu. Their origin was from Karnataka and they belonged to Brahmin Tulu family. The great King at that time, called The Zamourins, brought them to Kerala on knowing their expertise in treating the difficult injury and bone fractures. They treated the soldiers had participated in Mamangam. Since then, they dominated in treating with Ayurveda and gained popularity in the North Malabar of Kerala. It is now located in Thirunavaya in Malappuram district.
