Fertilizer Corporation of India (FCIL) Coal India Limited (CIL), GAIL India Ltd and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (RCF) have signed an agreement under which Talcher urea plant in Odisha will be the resurrection. RCF revival of the Talcher unit of the Fertilizer Corporation of India, CIL, GAIL and FCIL together will cost 8,000 million of funds. Talcher project has begun the work of resurrection. Gayle Cole - Gas technology providers are invited to tender. RCF Ammonia - Urea Plant are invited to tender. The project will reduce dependence on imported urea and will use feedstock available in the country. It is expected that the plant will start production by 2017.
