Teacher's Day celebration at Mount Litera Zee School

Mount Litera Zee School
Celebrating Teacher’s Day on 5th September marks the birth anniversary of the ex-president of India and a renowned teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. To commemorate this day with all its zest, 400 students of Mount Litera Zee School, Bangalore conducted various activities to pay tribute to their teachers. Initiatives such as ‘‘Thank You Wall’, Band of respect’, Follow my Teacher’ were carried out by students of Mount Litera Zee School, to express their gratitude towards the contributions made by their teachers.

A huge board at the school lobby - A ‘Thank you wall’ – was provided for students and parents to write notes for teachers thanking them for their constant guidance and support for their overall development.

The school students also got an opportunity to showcase their creativity by crafting and designing a ‘Band of respect’ which was tied on the teacher’s wrist as a sign of respect for all the efforts their teachers put in.

Another initiative by the school - ‘Follow my teacher’ saw students dress up in the same colour code as decided by their favourite teacher. Teachers had specified the colour of their clothes that they would wear on ‘Teacher’s Day’. Students were given an option to choose their favorite teacher and express their liking and admiration by following their favorite teacher and wearing clothes of similar colour.

Expressing the student’s enthusiasm, Rama Nandkumar, Principal of Mount Litera Zee School, Bangalore said, “Students put in a great effort to make their teacher’s feel special on Teacher’s Day. All of us have been a student at some point in our life and have benefited/ learnt vital lessons from them. Hence, celebrating this day to appreciate their contribution and imparting knowledge to the students is very important. I thank all the students for showing such great enthusiasm and vigour in making this day special and wish that they become great future builders of the nation”.
