The proposed six-member National Judicial Appointment Commission (NJAC) will comprise of the Chief Justice of India (CJI), the two senior-most judges of the SC, law and justice minister and two eminent persons. The choice of 'eminent persons' will be made by a high-powered committee comprising the prime minister, CJI and leader of opposition or the leader of the largest party in opposition.
