Wipro has announced the launch of 'earthian 2014', a global initiative by the company for sustainability education programme in schools and colleges.
This programme, which enters its fourth year, aims to provide an interconnected understanding of different disciplines in education related to ecological and social sustainability, Wipro said in a release.
Anurag Behar, Chief Sustainability Officer, Wipro Ltd. said, “With every year, earthian seeks to bring together more institutions, teachers and students onto a platform that fosters a richer understanding of how sustainability in education can be a powerful influence on our thoughts and actions in the future. In the process, it has also grown a vibrant community of participants who not only share their learning and experiences but also act as ambassadors for earthian”
