PVR expands its footprints in Bangalore with Ranveer Singh & Sonakshi Sinha

PVR expands its footprints in Bangalore
PVR Ltd., the largest and premium film entertainment company in the country, today announced the launch of its third multiplex in Bangalore at Phoenix Market City Mall. Developed by Phoenix Group, the mall is located at Whitefield Main Road, Mahadevapura. The 9-screen multiplex is spread over two floors with 4 screens on the ground floor and 5 screens on the second floor. Complete with prime and recliner seating totaling 1492, the multiplex makes PVR the largest cinema chain in Bangalore both in terms of number of cinemas and screen count. PVR already operates two properties at Forum Mall and Orion Mall totaling 22 screens besides the two properties of Cinemax comprising 10 screens.  With the launch of this multiplex, PVR’s PAN India footprint extends to 374 screens in 87 cinemas spread across 36 cities.
Considering Bangalore as a well-known IT hub, the property has been designed in a manner with interiors mimicking the inner workings of a machine while the exterior referring to the outer shell of a computer. Conceptually, the space is an abstraction of circuitry depicting the idea of energy traveling from node to node within a ‘system’ portrayed metaphorically throughout the theater.
The newly constructed PVR multiplex at Market city was inaugurated by renowned Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh & Sonakshi Sinha along with Mr. Ajay Bijli, Chairman Managing Director, PVR Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ajay Bijli, Chairman and Managing Director, PVR Ltd, said: “There is a growing appetite for good entertainment in India and considering the technology enriched Bangaloreans, we had tried to match their tastes with the finest movie experience in respect to picture clarity and sound. With no dearth of entertainment in the city burgeoning with massive shopping malls, pubs, art galleries & auditoriums, PVR has strategically planned its third multiplex for the people of the city to catch up their favorite movies.”
PVR cinema at Phoenix Market City will serve a specialized and wide menu ranging from frozen treat (gelatos), pizzas, dimsums to fries & sandwiches. Beyond the popcorn and nachos, the cinema-goers can also relish real coffee at the Café Coffee Day lounge inside the cinema.
The multiplex incorporates the best in class cinema technology such as 2K Digital projection, 7.1 Dolby surround sound, 3D enabled silver screens with 3- way JBL speakers.
