The Embedded Systems Conference India 2009’ kicks off in Bangalore


Shri Ashok Kumar C. Manoli, Principal Secretary Information Technology, Biotechnology, S&T - Govt. of Karnataka today inaugurated the third edition of ‘The Embedded Systems Conference India 2009’, the world’s leading conference and exhibition on embedded technology being held from July 22 – 24, 2009 at NIMHANS Convention Center, Hosur Road, Bangalore. Other dignitaries present at the function were Patrick Manion, Editorial Director, TechOnline (a division of TechInsights), Sajid Desai, Director, UBM India and Poornima Shenoy, President, India Semiconductors Association.

Commenting on the occasion, Shri Ashok Kumar C. Manoli, Principal Secretary Information Technology, Biotechnology, S&T - Government of Karnataka said, “ESC India 2009 has renewed the interest in the semiconductor industry and now the role of Karnataka Government is to work together in perfect tandem with the industry”.

He further added, “Bangalore is the global hub of semiconductor industry and enjoys favorable policies from the government that provides boost to this industry. Out of 200 semiconductor companies in India, 80 are located in Bangalore. Bangalore will be retaining its position in the world in the semiconductor industry. The state is always willing to stay with and support the semiconductor industry.”

Speaking at the conference, Sajid Desai, Director, UBM India said “ESC through its network has been in constant touch with its member both in India and internationally to address the opportunities for exponential growth of Indian embedded products and services that exists in today’s market. This leading embedded technical conference offers engineers access to classes of in-depth and unbiased content that delivers real-world solutions by leading industry experts. The conference value proposition is to provide answers to the engineer’s design challenges as well as upgrading their design skills.”

Also, at the conference Vector Informatik based in Germany announced their foray into the Indian market by opening office in Pune, and will offer its full range of services and products including industry strength tools like CANalyzer, CANoe and CANape.

Commenting on the occasion Mr. Walter Rademacher, Director of Marketing, Vector Informatik said, “We have taken this initiative to come closer to Indian customers. These products will bring effectiveness to development of embedded systems as Vector Informatik makes embedded software, operating systems, networking and test tools especially for automotive”
