#Bentley Systems Acquires SITEOPS

Bentley Systems, Incorporated has acquired Charlotte, N.C.-based BLUERIDGE Analytics, Inc., provider of SITEOPS – breakthrough site design optimization “software at your service.”
SITEOPS uses cloud-based computing techniques to empower site development professionals to move beyond engineering to optioneering, which enables the exploration of engineering alternatives and their costs. This substantially improves the choices considered for any site development, including commercial, industrial, institutional, campus, and residential projects.
Bentley Systems CEO Greg Bentley said, “On behalf of all our colleagues, I welcome the highly industrious and talented SITEOPS team to Bentley. During the past few years we’ve been tracking SITEOPS technology and its performance in order to authoritatively validate its breakthrough capabilities. Feedback we’ve received from engineering teams and owners has substantiated SITEOPS’ tremendous potential in enabling site development teams to deliver new value to owners. Through the power of site optioneering, owners can be confident that their engineers have considered the best choices and arrived at the most cost-effective solutions for the constraints of their respective sites. Hence, I’ve become convinced that site engineering should no longer be done any other way.”

Bentley’s AECOsim Building Designer and ProjectWise Take Top Honors in Sageret BTP’s 2013 Construction Product Awards Competition

Bentley’s AECOsim Building Designer and ProjectWise Take Top Honors in Sageret BTP’s 2013 Construction Product Awards Competition
Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, today announced that its AECOsim Building Designer and ProjectWise offerings have each been named a premier “Professionally Voted Public Works and Civil Engineering Product.” The awards, which were judged by construction professionals across France, were presented by Sageret, France’s leading directory of building and public works organizations and sponsor of the competition. Both products were recognized in the Services to Businesses/Companies category during a ceremony held at the Grand Hôtel Intercontinental Opéra in Paris.
Alan Lamont, Bentley vice president, said, “It is an honor to have our AECOsim Building Designer and ProjectWise offerings selected for this prestigious recognition within the community of construction professionals. We will display our ‘Professionally Voted Public Works and Civil Engineering Product’ award insignias with pride. Both of these products significantly contribute to Bentley’s leadership in software for construction. Our AECOsim products are emerging pacesetters in the architectural, engineering, construction, and operations marketplace. They enable best practices in integrated building systems design and performance simulation, and result in simulations that rigorously incorporate design specifications and accurately predict the performance of the delivered building. Our ProjectWise system of collaboration servers and services provides scalable, secure, and managed work sharing, content reuse, and dynamic feedback capabilities that are ideal for integrated projects requiring highly collaborative workflows. On behalf of my colleagues at Bentley, I thank Sageret and the many construction professionals who selected our products for this distinction.”
Sageret invited professionals from more than 250,000 construction firms to help select the best products in seven general categories:
•    Services to Businesses/Companies
•    Structures, Masonry Facades
•    Carpentry, Fastening/Locking
•    Interiors Design
•    Technical Equipment
•    Landscaping
•    Construction Material
The judges evaluated each of the products based on the following criteria: innovation, performance/quality, industry adoption, and sustainable development. For more information on the competition results, visit http://lesproduitsdubtp.com/résultats-2013.
