Photo Exhibition on #UNESCO World Heritage Sites at Chitrakala Parishath #B'luru with @KarnatakaWorld

The photo exhibition showcased an array of 120 photographs covering UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 30 countries by 25 travel photographers. The photographs on display were segmented into three categories- Cultural (Heritage) Sites, Natural Sites and Looking Beyond India.
 

The  photographs captured beauty of the ruins at Hampi, the exquisite Great Living Chola Temples in Thanjavur, the imposing hill forts of Rajasthan, rock-cut splendours of Bhimbetka, the stunning Archaeological Park in Champaner -Pavgadh, etc.
Aswini Neetan from Bangalore won the first price for her picture, ‘The trulli of Alberobello in Italy’

IGNCA Celebrates the Life, Times and Music of Swathi Thirunal, the Maharaja of Travancore



To commemorate the bi-centennary of Maharaja Swathi Thirunal of Travancore, IGNCA SRC organized a lecture on at the Indiranagar Sangeetha Sabha, by Dr Achut Shankaran Nair, scholar and historian on the 'Life and times of Maharaja Swathi Thirunal' followed by a Carnatic vocal concert by Prince Rama Varma on Swathi Thirunal compositions, accompanied by Shri Vinu on Violin, Shri Harikumar on Mridangam and Dr Karthick on Ghatam.
