#JKFloods: Online auction by Aditya Birla Group for flood victims of Jammu and Kashmir

Through an online auction Aditya Birla Group aims to raise funds for those affected by recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir.The auction will be held on StoryLTD, a service of auction house Saffronart, from October 8 – 9, 2014. Bidding on lots will begin at 7:00 p.m. on October 8 at www.storyltd.com. To encourage people to step in to contribute to the cause, there will be no buyer’s premium charged to buyers by StoryLTD on any of the lots, and some lots do not have a minimum price, known as a reserve price, in order to sell.

The auction features a total of 50 artworks by some of the most renowned Modern Masters such as F.N. Souza, Ram Kumar, K.G. Subramanyan and Sakti Burman, among others. Among the contemporaries, there are works by renowned artists such as Ranbir Kaleka, Manjunath Kamath, G.R. Iranna, Hema Upadhyay, and Dhruva Mistry, to name a few.

#Polaris volunteered four demo Off-Road Vehicles (ORVs) to #NDRF for flood relief in #J&K

Polaris India Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc. has volunteered four demo Off-Road Vehicles (ORVs) to NDRF (National Disaster Response Force), to assist in relief efforts after the state was hit by floods recently.


The volunteered vehicles are RANGER®6x6 800, RANGER CREW®800, RZR®XP 4 900, Sportsman®MV 700.The vehicles were handed over to ‘Sh. O.P. Singh IPS’, Director General National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at New Delhi.
“Floods in J&K have ruined lives and livelihood and we at Polaris are saddened by the magnitude of this distressing tragedy. With the entire system of roads in and around the states damaged and non-existent now, apart from debris on the ground from thousands of destroyed homes, Polaris India can extend a hand of support to help accelerate the relief operations. These specialised Off-Road Vehicles will help in making this area accessible, due to its off roading capability,” said Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd.
