Oxford Bookstore, Bangalore and Aakruti Books host the book launch of ‘Animal Palette’

Oxford Bookstore, Bangalore and Aakruti Books, Publishers and distributors of books hosted the book launch of ‘Animal Palette’ by Chetan Sashikant Joshi, a renowned author and Tejas Suresh Modak, a famous artist. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Prakash Belawadi, renowned journalist and theatre enthusiast. Mr. Belawadi also released the book.
The graphic novel ‘Animal Palette’ has given a different dimension to storytelling with its subtle illustration allowing the readers to get a complete comprehension of the theme. The settings of the stories in this book are focusing on animals and wildlife, encompassing different human themes and emotions in each.

The aim of the book is to arouse interest and educate the young readers about animals and their peculiar traits.
The animal stories in different shades are very entertaining in nature.  ‘Animal Palette’ is a subtle appeal to humanity to preserve the environment.

About the Author:
Chetan Sashikant Joshi is a Pune based author with a flair for fiction from the absurd to stark raving reality. A software graduate, he abandoned his career in IT after 12 years to take up writing as his mainstream profession. His penchant for creative experiments has made him write in almost every genre. Currently he is writing a novel – The Seven Deadly Skins and working on the script of an international animation film. His first book Blind Man’s Buff (Nov. 2007, Reprint Mar. 2010) has received commendable literary praise – Original Ideas. His works have diverse themes, vivid descriptions and compelling plots.

About the artist:
Tejas Suresh Modak lives in Pune and spends most of his time writing, drawing, painting and making comics. His first graphic novel – Private-eye Anonymous: The Art Gallery Case – was published in 2008. Mr. Modak had a great time working with Chetan Joshi, author of Animal Palette

Animal Palette follows the rich traditions of Jatak Kathas, Panchatantra, Hitopadesh, Aesop’s Fables and Les Fables de la Fontaine and goes a step further in its format as a graphic novel.
