Bangalore gears up for a Greener tomorrow with ACREX India 2012


Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) returns to Bangalore after 4 years with its 13th edition of ACREX India 2012 with an aim ‘for a Greener tomorrow’. The exhibition is scheduled from 23-25 February 2012, at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Tumkur Road.
Nations around the world are promoting and adopting renewable energy sources. Societies like ISHRAE, ASHRAE along with many other technical societies have been working with a goal to promote energy efficient buildings and reduce dependency on fossil fuels. And taking a leap towards this objective, ACREX offers a perfect platform for Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and allied Building Services to showcase technologically innovative, environmental friendly, energy saving and sustainable products & services and domestic HVAC & R enthusiasts can make the best out of this opportunity, explore avenues for business expansion, and technological innovations.  
An exhibition that has grown every year, ACREX India 2012 is expected to grow 15% in this edition. With an estimate of 50, 000 visitors this year as opposed to 38, 000 last year and with an anticipated 20% growth in business, the fair is expected to generate inquiries worth US $ 1 billion and more.  
With over 400 exhibitors, the exhibition will bring immense opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs with participation from across 25 countries and international visitors. The three country pavilions will be from China, Germany and USA with China being the largest pavilion and first time endorsement by US Chamber of Commerce outside the U. S.
Addressing the media at the announcement press conference, Chairman, ACREX India 2012, Mr. D. Nirmal Ram said, “With a participation of 25 countries, and an anticipated number of over 1000 international visitors, it is clear that International markets are looking into Indian HVAC &R industry as a potential market. And this is being witnessed in ACREX India 2012 by over 50% growth of the international participation compared to ACREX India 2011.  There is a little impact in the domestic segment owing to the current market Scenario, by way of scaling down of the stall space by some exhibitors but there is a growth in the number of new and smaller exhibitors”.

A special showcase of ‘Fire and Safety Pavilion’ which is promoted by the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI).
