The capacity and the will to rally men and women to a common purpose and the character which inspires confidence is what a leader should posses and society should instill in every individual.
Oakridge, India’s largest International School, in association with Babson College USA is organizing a 1 week residential program for students of grade IX to XII on value-based leadership to instill and inspire the spirit of leadership in them. The camp will be held at Rishikesh from 23rd to 30th of March 2013. The program is going to be distinctive in using 10 different pedagogies and dual certifications- both from Oakridge Leadership School and from Aspire-Babson.
Capt. Rohit Sen Bajaj, principal of Oakridge Gachibowli campus, says, “The OLS leadership program is designed to be both meaningful and memorable and has been benchmarked with world’s leading youth leadership programs. The program will help students prepare for real-life leadership beyond school and create moral muscle to succeed in their careers, where they will likely encounter more grey areas than black and white situations. Overall, the program will make a significant difference to the child’s future.
Through the program, we are blending multiple pedagogies to ensure that students find it both engaging and enjoyable. Teenagers and Young Adults learn differently, using their multiple intelligences. Therefore, our program builds Values-Based Leadership Skills using multiple pedagogies and most significantly, Readings-and-Case Studies-based self-reflection. The program has 10 different key modules and pedagogies organized to ensure variety and versatility. On the whole the program will create greater awareness of ethics and personal moral compass with respect to self, family, society, business and environment” he adds.
