DX-2116X-NAS-R has a built-in iSCSI target service, an HDD of 16 hot-swappable and lockable drives where each has a capacity of upto 3TB and, 4 Gigabit LAN and 6 USB ports. The swappable drive allows an administrator to replace or upgrade the drive without turning off the device or slowing down the business.
Enhanced back-up capabilities
DX-2116X-NAS-R comes with a complete back-up solution which is compatible with cloud-based storage such as Amazon S3 and Apple Time Machine. The device is also equipped with RTRR (Real-time Remote Replication) feature, which does back-up of new and modified files immediately to another folder or a remote NAS. The device has an integrated one-touch button that can be configured to create instant data back-up from the external USB device to the NAS and vice versa.DX-2116X-NAS-Rcan be configured for a real-time or scheduled back-up.
When a hard drive fails, the hotsparefeature in this RAID configured device allows an administrator to replace the failed drive to prevent data from being lost. The hot spare function offers more efficient use of spare drives.
High-end security features
DX-2116X-NAS-R also supports enhanced security features like IP filter and policy-based auto IP blocking, NAP (Network Access Protection) with auto-blocking, CIFS (Common Internet File System) host access control for shared folders, encrypted remote replication, antivirus protection and importable SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate. The device is also equipped with sending instant threat alert via e-mail, SMS, Instant Messaging (IM) and buzzer, to the administrator.
DX-2116X-NAS-R comes with a 3-year carry-in warranty and online support for customers.
