Reviving The Myth, A Unique Children’s Workshop On The Ramayana Trail, A Story For Every Stop
Under Fourteen Only Childrens Wear is a unique and small brand that does things different. Commonly refereed to as UFO Kidswear, the brand is highly popular amongst its consumers for its extensive efforts in bringing its customers something more than just a commercial product. UFO Experiences is an initiative to bring Bangalore city, a series of carefully curated workshops that expose parents, teachers and children to more creative and experiential forms of education. According to Abhishek Agarwal, the young M.D of UFO Kidswear, “The best form of education is experiences. It is through experiences that a child interacts, recollects and forms his/her own understanding of the ways of the world. Watching my 6 month old son and the rapid way in which he imbibes the world around him has further reinforced my belief.” The workshops are free in order to inspire and allow everyone the opportunity to creative forms of education.

This week at UFO Experiences we have an extremely well qualified individual that refers to herself as a “Creative Professional”, who will be conducting a very unique workshop that will take children on an epic journey through India, as they trail Prince Ram’s epic journey across the continent from his Royal seat. The group will travel from Ajodhya to Nepal, to Bihar, and Janakpur, through the dangerous Dandaka forest across Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, and then turn South towards Hampi, Belgaum, Karnataka and finally Srilanka, on the Ramayana Trail. The exciting adventure also entails creating armor and masks to shield the brave adventurers from the horror of the demons to be encountered on the way.

A graduate of the prestigious British Design and Art Direction program in London, holding a first class degree in English Literature with over a decade’s worth of expertise, Aparna Rama is the Founder and Chief Story Hunter of Timbuktoo Young Authors publishing. Timbuktoo is a for kids- by kids platform, that encourages children to explore their creativity through writing, in a very unique manner - by seeing the joy of their work in print. The publishing house has 3 books in the pipeline, one of which is a collection of 6 children’s writings, due to be published by the end of the year.

Timbuktoo is also well known for their other fascinating concepts spanning a Shakespeare Study Circle, Genre Gene – a workshop that allowed children to explore comedy, tragedy, sci-fi, mystery, superhero and other interesting areas, not to mention a World Mythology Program and a History of Story workshop.
