Power management company Eaton today announced its strategic commitment to double the business in India by combining the legacy Cooper and former Eaton’s Electrical businesses. Syed Sajjadh Ali has been named Managing Director, India, Electrical Sector – Asia Pacific responsible for leading the complete electrical sector organization in India. He will report directly to Lou Rosen, Senior Vice-President, Power Quality, Electrical Sector - Asia-Pacific and continue to be based in Pondicherry, India.
Eaton completed the acquisition of electrical equipment supplier Cooper Industries plc in November 2012. Syed was previously managing director of Cooper Bussman, India.

In his new role, Syed will be responsible for managing the activities for the Power Distribution, Power Quality, Bussmann, and Power Systems in India, including operations, sales, finance, and HR functions of the business in the country.
Syed joined Cooper Bussman in 2008. He has an experience of more than thirty years in the Electrical industry. Prior to joining Cooper, Syed held leadership roles at GE, Alstom, GEC and English Electric in India.
Syed holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology from Birla Institute of Technology and Science at Pilani.
