EMpower (L&T Infotech’s internal Human Resources portal), runs on SAP HCM ECC 6.0, and went live on January 23, 2013. A total of 5 HCM modules, covering 16 process areas, have been implemented in EMpower’s Phase I: Recruitment, Personnel Administration, Organization Management, Time Management and Employee/Manager Self Service (ESS/MSS).
Before commencing the implementation, a detailed study was conducted for internal and external benchmarking of each process and a ‘process wish list’ was generated based on user inputs. While implementing EMpower, the L&T Infotech team defined an ETL Strategy for complete data migration that helped in reduction of efforts from 5 weeks to 4 days.
In addition, L&T Infotech’s Proprietary tools were leveraged, Example: EZ CUTOVER – to enable reuse of migration objects; CODE REO to help improve program efficiency.
The award ceremony had a special guest of honor, the legendary singer Ms. Asha Bhosale, who epitomizes excellence in her field. In a lively interview, the veteran singer shared her zeal to continuously innovate and learn new things.
The SAP-ACE award was received by the team led by Mr. Rishikesh Joshi, Head-Corporate Services, L&T Infotech and Mr. Pradeep Pathak, Operations Head-SAP Practice, L&T Infotech.
Additional, L&T Group’s Electrical & Automation IC (EAIC) received the jury’s special recognition for its SAP-PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) deployment. L&T Infotech was also recognized as the implementation partner for this project.
SAP’s Product Lifecycle Management 7.1 implementation at EAIC replaced the existing PTC Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) system. The implementation of SAP PLM 7.01 under Net weaver business client helped achieve a Consistent, business-process centric product data management solution with the following key features:
SAP-CAD Integration with PRO/E Wildfire 5.0 for 2D/3D CAD files management, Material master & BOM creation.
Implementation of SAP Visual Enterprise Generator for Creation of 3D CAD neutral files for product visualization across various departments.
Advanced product search across multiple SAP business objects using Embedded search functions of TREX 7.1.
