Omega Healthcare, the global leader in offshore healthcare BPO that offers services in Medical Coding, Billing, Accounts Receivable Management, Claims Processing and Revenue Cycle Management plans to rapidly expand its operations and add close to 5,000 people in the next 3 – 4 years to meet the demand in the industry. Omega Healthcare will also begin its operations in Manila, Philippines from January 2014. The new facility in Manila will have 400 people initially with a planned expansion to about 2,000 people over the next 2 – 3 years.
Speaking about the expansion and growth plans, Mr. Gopi Natarajan, CEO & Co-founder said “The healthcare reforms in the US that is slated to begin next year will open up a plethora of opportunities in the healthcare services sector. We have been consistently growing at an annual compounded rate of over 30%. To meet this continued growth, we will be adding additional office space in all the 3 cities we operate in currently in India. Companywide, we will double our headcount in the next 3 -4 years”.
The growth will be largely fueled by Obamacare, the migration from ICD-9 to ICD-10 and increasing acceptance of India and Philippines as the premier destinations of service centres by the US healthcare industry.
