R C Golden Granites carved a symbol to honour the ‘Little Master’ Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar

What gives pleasure more than paying tribute to a living legend who has made our mother nation proud. Just a week within the Government of India honouring our legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with the country’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna, RC Golden Granites Pvt. Ltd, a Chennai based granite monument maker, as a token of love and tribute on behalf of all the fans for over two decades of dedication by the Little Master in his craft, has honoured him for the first time in the history of granite, with a 11ft, 4 ton hand crafted granite statue from a single block of Vizag blue granite. The statue is on display at the 11th International Granites and Stone Fair 2014 being held at BIEC, Bangalore; between February 12 - 15, 2014.
The statue of Sachin Tendulkar was chiseled by dedicated team of RC Golden Granites craftsmen who are fans of Sachin as well, at the company’s factory located outside Chennai. The statue has been a major visitor attraction who attended the fair and etched in the hearts of his fans.
Commenting about the statue R. Chandrasekaran, Managing Director, RC Golden Granites said “I am a diehard fan of cricket as the game symbolizes team spirit, individual focus and dedication to be at its peak to deliver best performance. Sachin has inspired us as an example for what a humble person can achieve with passion and hard work. Our love for the game and its all time best icon gave our team an inspiration to carve this masterpiece statue. When we came to know that Government of India is to honour Sachin with the country’s highest award, we were motivated to honour him with a symbol that lasts as an inspiration for our future cricketers. We chose to hand craft the statue in a natural stone and will donate it to a charitable cause of Sachin’s choice. I pray this statue to last for generations and make the cricket followers speak “there was a cricketer who etched many records for ages to come”. This statue is purely our sincere tribute to the living legend and not meant for any commercial use.”
