The True Irish Spirit, Jameson and Empire Magazine opened the Done in Sixty Seconds 2014 competition for entries in November and now are shortlisting the winners from across India. Keeping alive the legacy of the contest, the short film competition sees aspiring filmmakers from India pitting their entries against contestants from 19 other countries worldwide. The competition challenges entrants to re-make their favourite Hollywood movie in just 60 seconds. The competition is open to people of all abilities; whether you’re an animator with a passion for Claymation, an action junkie with a love of budget special effects, or even a first-time director shooting your film on a smartphone, the Done in 60 Seconds competition is open to everyone with a passion for filmmaking.
The call for entries continued till January ’14. Vikramaditya and Anupama chose the winning entries from across India. The winning filmmaker will travel to London with both of them to attend the Jameson Empire Awards and be in attendance when the global winner of DISS is announced.
The Jameson Empire Awards celebrate the film industry’s success stories of the year with Empire Magazine readers voting for the winners. The awards ceremony is deemed by many in the industry as the most entertaining yet serious awards in the British movie calendar, making it the perfect match for Jameson.
Jameson in partnering with Talent House in launching the India leg and collaborating in managing the outreach program.
