Cyclone followed by heavy rainfall has lashed thousands of houses in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. Maximum number of the houses with thatched and tin roofs has been raged away along with the strong winds on Sunday. Cyclone has also caused some major rivers and tributaries to overflow, submerging villages and stranding thousands of people in North Bengal.
