Come Sunday - May 18, 2014, over 350 enthusiastic employees of leading BPM provider Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) will participate in the TCS World 10K Bangalore 2014. This is HGS’ fifth year of association with the run, popular as one of the world’s most prestigious 10 km runs.
The employees or Team HGS are running in support of Magic Bus, an NGO that mentors children from childhood to livelihood through sports-related activities. As part of our engagement with Magic Bus, HGS will also sponsor the participation of 25 children from across Bangalore in the run.
“At HGS, we aim to cultivate an environment that encourages our employees to live healthy. Sports, especially running, is a great way of being active and healthy… It is also a way of being involved with and showing support to the community,” said Anthony Joseph, Executive Vice President - Global Human Resources, HGS, an avid runner himself.
The company has a passionate running community which encompasses employees spanning the organization from the CEO downwards, and diverse in age, gender and across different roles. Bhaskaran. E, a Team Lead at HGS and a regular at the Bangalore run said: “Will power, dedication, practice and passion for the sport are what make a true runner. These qualities have helped me deal with the hurdles in my life. So, let’s “run in life” to succeed and also help others to grow.”
