Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Lockheed Martin are looking to expand their aerospace and defence partnership as India moves ahead with its recently released Medium Transport Aircraft requirement. The development was highlighted during a visit by US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor to Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited (TLMAL) in Hyderabad on August 24.
C-130J production supports MTA opportunity
During the visit, Gor toured TLMAL’s production line for empennages for the C-130J Super Hercules. The Hyderabad facility forms part of the companies’ established manufacturing partnership and supports the integration of Indian aerospace production into the global C-130J supply chain.
