Logica Bangalore achieves CMMI Level 5 Certification


Logica, a leading IT and business services company, has today announced that its Bangalore Operation has been certified CMMI Level 5 maturity level, the highest maturity level under the CMMI model. This certification validates improved delivery, operational excellence in software development and improved risk planning and management. Also, this prestigious certification guarantees reduced variation and cycle time through the plan-do-check-act cycle. It endorses a culture of ‘continuous improvement’ with active employee participation, increased customer satisfaction and more number of orders received.

This is predicted to grow at CAGR above 10% with testing delivered from India growing above 15%. This shows the increasing demand and importance of operational excellence and quality assessment in the sector. CMMI is a process improvement approach sponsored by SEI (Software Engineering Institute of the Carnegie Mellon University ).The Lead Appraiser recommended to SEI that the Bangalore operations are operating at CMMI Level 5 maturity level. This assessment was conducted under the latest version i.e. v 1.2. A reassessment was conducted by KPMG, a global leading assessment body. The prestigious SEI-CMMI level 5 appraisal reinforces Logica’s commitment to deliver quality to customers.
