Lenovo continues retail expansion in India, inaugurates its 400th LES Lite

Lenovo India, in line with its ‘Get Closer’ to customers strategy, has continued its aggressive retail expansion and inaugurated its 400th LES Lite in the country. The company has chalked out clear plans to establish a deeper consumer connect and extend its retail footprint to high potential tier 3-5 cities.  Rory Read, President and COO, Lenovo worldwide, inaugurated the 400th LES Lite in the presence of Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India.
Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India, said “With PC penetration still in single digits in most parts of India, there is a huge opportunity for us to drive industry growth in India’s hinterland. We expect a significant increase in PC purchases from consumers in tier 3-5 cities/towns and are focusing on retail penetration as a key growth driver. This 400th LES Lite is a significant milestone in our ambitious retail expansion, which is in sync with our overall retail strategy to have 1000 Lenovo exclusive outlets across India by March 2012.”LES Lites are a smaller version of Lenovo Exclusive Stores (LES), typically around 150-200 square feet in size. Offering a perfect blend of brand display, information, guidance, touch and feel of products, LES Lites will provide customers an end-to-end brand experience.
LES Lites promise a quality retail experience to consumers, where customers can get a touch and feel of Lenovo’s wide range of consumer products under one roof.  The new LES Lite will showcase the entire range of Lenovo’s consumer products - Notebooks, Netbooks, Desktops and All-in-Ones - to address the dynamic computing needs of consumers. New consumer products available in the store include the Lenovo IdeaPad Z570,  and G470/570, the premium multimedia Notebooks - which offer super entertainment features at an affordable price; the stunningly beautiful all-in-one Lenovo IdeaCenter A700 and the perfect desktop replacer Lenovo C200. The store will also house the Lenovo ThinkPad SL series suitable for small businesses and the ThinkPad Edge custom-built for the SMB segment.
