Machdar Motorsports, the promoters of i1 Supercar Series announces the launch of a nationwide campaign ‘My i1 Day’, a road safety program aimed at school children across the country. The initiative will be launched today at Baldwin Boy’s High School, Bangalore. The primary objective of the initiative will be to build awareness for road safety using various innovative and exciting activities. It will be a special 4-hour program wherein school children will be educated to adopt road safety measures in their day-to-day life.
The Guests of Honor for the event will be Mr. Ashfaq Ahamed, Sr. Inspector of Motor Vehicles and President, All India Federation of Motor Vehicles Department Technical Executive Officer’s Associations, Mr. Bharath Raj, Vice-President FMSCI, Mr. Darshan M, Managing Director & CEO of Machdar Motorsports and Mr. Raj Bharath, i1 Supercar Series Driver.
Speaking on the occasion, Darshan M, MD&CEO, Machdar Motorsports said, “It gives me immense pleasure to announce the launch of ‘My i1 Day’ across schools in the country. We are initiating the program keeping in mind the dates of road safety week.”
With the increasing popularity of motorsports in India, it is critical that children are educated on road safety and driving with precaution. Machdar, being committed to keeping kids safe on and around the road, is now reaching out to schools to build awareness about road safety , added Darshan M.

Road safety education for the young population is the way to go and schools are the ideal place to start creating this awareness of how important it is to be safe on our roads. The program aims at reaching to 3, 27,000 kids across 654 schools in 100 cities to build awareness about road safety. The duration of the entire initiative is about 45 day.
