‘PNB Pragati’ is an initiative taken up under ‘Organisation Transformation and Business Excellence Programme’. The branches opened under it offer multiple delivery channels to customers e.g. counter services, self operating gadgets and machines and ATM. The self operating machines include Self Service Pass book printing terminal, Cash Deposit Machine, Cheque Deposit Machine, ATM, etc. These branches will have a reception counter welcoming all the customers and guiding them to the respective work areas. Queue Management System will reduces the waiting time of the customers. Thus, the new layout will enable speedy and convenient delivery of service to the customers in an excellent ambience.
With the opening of PNB Pragati branch at Domlur, the total number of PNB Pragati branches in Karnataka has increased to 8. Further, Circle has identified 9 more branches to be rolled over under Pragati Branches in Karnataka by the end of December ’12.
Shri K R Kamath, CMD, addressed the fresh batch of around 120 candidates inducted for Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Finances (PGDBF) in Manipal University. He also congratulated them on getting enrolled to this programme. This second batch of around 120 students was imparted guidance by the CMD.
PNB is partnering with Manipal University to create a customized one year Post Graduate Diploma Programme to train candidates who have cleared IBPS exam and groom them for Bank’s requirement. These students on successful completion of the course will join PNB as Management Trainees. The first Batch of over 110 candidates has joined in September’12. This initiative entails creating a new channel of recruiting the groomed human resources which will be available for serving the customers right from their induction. The students also remain assured about their placement in PNB while they are undergoing study.
