As the second edition of the Louis Philippe Cup kicks-off, former host city Bangalore is set to commence with the formalities, with the first round of city qualifiers scheduled to be held at the Eagleton golf course on the 7th of December 2012. Continuing with last year's format, nine city teams will fight for top position and a Rs. 1.24 Crores purse in this IPL-style format Pro Team Golf event.

The Eagleton qualifier will determine one of the three members of the amateur team for last year's finalists Puravankara Bangalore. It will be the first of three to be held across Bangalore - the others being held at the KGA on the 14th and 15th of December, and at the Bangalore Golf Club on the 21st and 22nd of December. Puravankara Bangalore, who finished just behind Navaratna Ahmedabad, hopes to continue with their winning pro team of last year and hope to return with local lad who had a standout show at the 2012 British Open, Anirban Lahiri.

In a unique and competitive format for all participants, the combined 36 hole scores of the three member pro and three member amateur teams will determine the winners of the Pro-am Title that is to be held on first two days of the tournament. However, the scores of the three member pro team will determine which four pro city teams progress to the semi-finals and then the finals of the Louis Philippe Cup to be held between the 11th and 16th of February 2013 at Jaypee Greens Golf Resort in Greater Noida.

With Greater Noida geared up to host, Golf's version of IPL, the Louis Philippe Cup in its second edition will boast of teams of all the top eighteen ranked golfers on the PGTI circuit, and have already confirmed participation of European Tour success, Jeev Milkha Singh (Noida), recent winner of McLeod Russel championship - SSP Chowrasia (Chennai) and two time Asian Tour winner Gaganjeet Bhullar (Chandigarh).
