The function was formally inaugurated by Shri. K.R.Shenoy, Executive Director in the presence of Shri. K. V. Brahmaji Rao, General Manager.
The Mega Mela was attended by budding entrepreneurs, distinguished customers and the employees of the bank. Shri Shenoy highlighted the role played by MSMEs in the Indian economy. He emphasized that MSME is important for achieving National objectives of growth with equity and inclusion.
In the MSME mela, altogether 82 in-principle loans were sanctioned involving total financial outlay of Rs.185.63 crores.
Vijaya Bank has 36 specialized SME branches and 9 MSME Credit processing cells spread all over India. Beginning 1st April 2012, 77 MSME Melas have been conducted by the Bank to meet its social and economic obligation towards the MSME Sector. Vijaya Bank has tailor made schemes to suit the different requirements of the MSMEs.
