The president ASI is pleased to announce Aryabhata, ASI and ASI-ISRO and Space Gold Medal awards for the years 2010 and 2011. The awardees have been selected by two high level expert committees.
Dr. A. E. Muthunayagam, the former secretary, Department of Ocean Development, Government of India and the former director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been selected for the prestigious Aryabhata award for 2010. The renowned scientist from Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, Government of India, Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat, has been given the 2011 Aryabhata award.
