Divine Design and Q-Mart qualify for Delhi leg of Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge

In a historical first for golf in the city, two teams from Hyderabad will compete at the Delhi qualifiers of the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge where they will compete for a slot in the national finals. As the maiden edition of the regional qualifiers for the prestigious event in Hyderabad drew to a close on Sunday, teams from Divine Design and Q-Mart booked their places in the Delhi qualifiers.



With close to 80 golfers vying for an opportunity to compete at the Delhi qualifiers, Hyderabad Golf Association witnessed exciting golf as teams from Mantri Developers, Ballantine's, Indian Terrain, Microsoft, ICICI, Delphi, Deloitte, Oracle, Morgan Stanley among others strived to turn in their best performances. The team from Divine Design, represented by N. Ashok Reddy and G. L Siva Reddy closed the day of play with a combined score of 64 Nett points to take the top honors, while the Q-Mart team comprising of Mr. B. Hanumanth Rao and B. Chandrashekhar finished runners-up with a total of 58 Nett points.    



Starting off a Handicap of 9, Ashok Reddy scored 38 Nett points and was assisted by team-mate Siva Reddy (Handicap 17) who scored 26 Nett points to confirm the top position for the Divine Design team. Playing Q-Mart, B. Hanumanth Rao (Handicap - 9) was the top scorer for his team with 31 Nett points, while his teammate B. Chandrashekhar, playing off a Handicap of 9 ended with 27 points; helping the team to a second place finish and a spot in the Delhi qualifiers.



The two qualifying teams from Hyderabad, will now head to Delhi where they will compete with other teams on the 8th and 9th of February for a spot at the national finals to be held at Bangkok in April. The winning team from the national finals will represent India at the World Finals to be held at the at the quaint Carrick Golf Course, on Loch Lomond, Scotland from the 7th to 12th May 2013.



With the regional qualifiers in Hyderabad concluded, the winning teams - Divine Designs and Q-Mart - are now set to take on the challenge in the national capital.
