Mahindra 2 Wheelers today previewed two all new motorcycles for the Indian market.
Designed completely inhouse at the future ready, state-of-the-art Mahindra R&D Centre in Pune in a record 18 months, both these motorcycles are powered by the MCi-5 engine that is manufactured at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Pithampur near Indore.
Mahindra’s experience with Indian roads clearly shows in both these motorcycles that possess intelligent and class-defining features targeted at distinct consumer segments.

ALL NEW MAHINDRA CENTURO
The new Mahindra Centuro sports a host of patented category innovations – ones that have never been seen before in motorcycles while addressing the long standing needs of Indian consumers.
The Centuro is powered by Mahindra’s indigenously developed, intelligent MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine that responds smartly to your need for power and economy on the go.
The Centuro is protected against theft by a Central Locking Anti Theft System with Engine Immobiliser and a remote 96-bit encrypted Flip Key - a first in Indian motorcycling that gives you unique secure access to your motorcycle.
It has Find Me Lamps that help you easily locate your motorcycle in crowded parking lots, Guide Lamps that continue to illuminate even as you walk away, after parking your bike andbright LED tail and pilot lamps, offering visibility in nearly all weather conditions.
It also sports an advanced, white fully-lit digital dashboard with an in-built, Service Due Indicator and Distance- to-Empty Fuel calculator and several other features.
Its broad, robust styling with unique horizontal gold bars will ensure you always stand out in the crowd.
The all new Mahindra Centuro is engineered for optimal performance delivering an astonishing 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM and 8.5 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm.
The motorcycle also has best-in-class ground clearance of 173 mm, with a seat height of 800 mm and maintenance free battery.
ALL NEW MAHINDRA PANTERO
The all new 110 cc Mahindra Pantero has been designed and developed from scratch at Mahindra Two Wheelers’ future ready, state-of-the-art R&D Centre at Pune. Sporting an indigenously developed, intelligent MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 Curve) engine, the Pantero is the most manoeuvrable bike in its class, capable of handling bad roads and traffic with ease.
Targeted at young first time buyers that want a great riding experience, the Pantero’s MCi-5 engine induces intelligence into the motorcycle and smartly adjusts itself to your need for great pick-up or good mileage on the go.
The Pantero is equipped with many first-in-class features like LED pilot and tail lamps for added safety, an advanced digital dashboard, choke on the handlebar, 13.7-litre fuel tank, among others. The Mahindra Pantero is engineered to deliver the maximum performance in the mass market segment – an astonishing 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM. The bike’s MCi-5 engine delivers an excellent mileage of 79.5 kmpl (as per ARAI).
The LED pilot lamps and LED Tail lamps ensure the safety of the rider during twilight and foggy winter conditions when there is lower visibility - a first in the commuter segment category.
The large, fully Digital Dashboard – a first in this segment – comes equipped with a speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer and clock. It also has an inbuilt capability to indicate the distance travelled in one trip.
Along with style and economy, the all new Mahindra Pantero is specially developed for Indian customers, keeping in mind their practical commuting needs. Another example of this is the longest seat (774 mm) in the 110cc commuter segment that offers riders increased comfort over longer distances. The motorcycle also has best-in-class ground clearance of 165 mm. The Pantero is available with a standard warranty of 2 years and optional extended warranty of up to 3 years.
The trendy alloy wheels with a wheel-base of 1265mm not only provide greater stability during cornering but also ensures a stable ride and good ground clearance. The Pantero is available in four variants – Self Start/ Cast Alloy Wheels/ Digital Console, Self Start/ Cast Alloy Wheels/ Analog Console, Kick Start/ Cast Alloy Wheels/ Analog Console and Kick Start/ Spoke/ Analog Console.
Vibrant graphics accentuate the sleek styling of the Pantero, which is available in four colours: Fiery Red, Sterling Silver, Blazing Black and Cool Black.
