Actors Prachi Desai and Sundeep Kishan, Smile Officers of the Oral B Smile India Movement along with dentists across the country have set out on a mission to spread the power of healthy smiles at Hyderabad. A recent survey conducted by independent researcher Nielsen amongst 840 youngsters in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Nagpur reveals that a smile is a single tool that helps in multiple situations.
Key findings from survey among consumers –
· 90% believe that smiling helps deal with situations better than being aggressive
· 89% believe that smiles can resolve power conflicts
· 96% of Hyderabad agree that a person with good smile has good oral health
· 96% of Hyderabad agree that people who smile more have healthier relationships
· 97% of Hyderabad agree that A smile makes a person more attractive
· 97% of Hyderabad agree that big problems can be solved with a smile
Joining the Smile Officers – Prachi Desai & Sandeep Kishan at the launch was Dr. Nidhi Gupta said, As a dentist, she heralded the cause of protecting smiles by reinforcing the 3 step regimen – brushing teeth twice everyday for 2 minutes and visiting a dentist every 6 months as part of the country’s oral hygiene routine. Dr. Nidhi highlighted the need for awareness on oral hygiene, and pledge support to the Oral B Smile India Movement along with the Smile Officers.
Dr. Gupta, an eminent professional in dental health said, “It is very unfortunate that we as a nation pay very little attention to oral care and hygiene. It is true that to a great extent our overall well being – confidence and social behaviour depends on the condition of our oral health. I am glad to be a part of this great oral health initiative that is on the mission to champion the power of healthy smiles. It is my earnest request for the young to come forth and pledge to make India a nation with healthier smiles.”
