DR. PARAMESHWARA and KPCC ACE THE SOCIAL MEDIA RACE Reaches the 10,000+ milestone in less than 15 days

The dynamic KPCC President Dr. Parameshwara, in a bid to connect to the net savvy voter has launched his social media campaign on 1st April, 2013. Interestingly, his Facebook page (www.facebook.com/drgparameshwara), has received an overwhelming response with 10, 254 likes and 8,608 people talking about the same and weekly total reach amounting to 496,350 people. Among the mentioned statistics the huge response has been from Bangalore city, which is also regarded as the IT capital and has more internet users in the country.

According to Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), in a recent report, Karnataka capital is ranked sixth in terms of internet users. Bangalore has 2.2 million claimed users and 1.7 million active users.

The Congress Party has also created a separate page for the party in the state www.facebook.com/karnatakapcc, which has more than 6,184 likes, 6,987 people talking about the same and weekly reach of 162, 216 users. The page has been hugely accessed by 18-24 years age group, who are now a large chunk of the electorates.

Beside Facebook and Twitter, the Karnataka Congress Party president Dr. Parameshwara also had an interaction last week via Google+Hangout and addressed the urban youths of the state, who are very active on the social media.

The Congress party has also stuck to traditional mode of campaigning beside the social media interaction by launching audio video publicity material for the ensuing Assembly Elections.
