Wipro is offering a tree sapling on purchase of every compact fluorescent lamp ‘CFL’ in select geographies. CFL are more energy efficient lighting solution which reduce power consumption by 80% than normal GLS (Incandescent) bulb.
This unique initiative will help consumer to contribute back to the environment by shifting to energy efficient products and create a greener tomorrow by planting the sapling. “The idea behind this initiative is to remind consumers of their responsibility towards Mother Earth by both switching to an energy efficient product and creating a greener tomorrow by planting the sapling” said Mr Anil Chugh, Senior Vice President , Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting.
The company has also planned various initiatives like organizing quizzes, blogs and planting the saplings in the Wipro campuses throughout the country.
