showcase of elegant artifacts in the Garden City
The Interarts showcase of exclusive artifacts that satiate the quest of a connoisseurs aspiration for fine living while giving wings to newer ideas, enjoys centre stage in Bengaluru. Interarts is an international promoter of objet’d art and an art consultancy that offers contemporary art for corporate and private collectors. They are passionate about bringing to you the work of world renowned artists and manufacturers at reasonable prices, that have the potential to be functional and emerge as sound long term investments. Interarts aims to increase the awareness of lifestyle products and provide these products at affordable prices. They successfully demonstrate that art has no boundaries, bringing together people with talent and aesthetic taste on a common platform.

The current exhibition presents some of the world’s finest objet d’art and dinnerware, a coordinated collection of luxurious classic and contemporary artifacts from Amanda Brisbane, Giuseppe Armani, Royal Dux, Rare Lladro figures, Shakespeare Glass, Moorcroft, Falken Porzelain, Felix Bronze, Okra, Poole Pottery, Royal Minton, Ian Mcdonald, Stuart Crystal, Helen Millard and others.

This year Interarts introduces exquisite crystal artifacts by Nakawa with the same theme and quality as Daum Crystal from France, bespoke bone china dinnerware by William Edward and ceramics from United Kingdom, that have graced the Queen’s dining table at Buckingham Palace. Other rare glass and ceramic antiquities, from United Kingdom and Europe at affordable prices, are part of the repertoire.

The Interarts passion extends to offering consultancy in terms of artifact selection and placement, after due consideration to building material, proportions of space, colour scheme, budget and other personal preferences that could inspire to select a particular artifact. With eighty percent of the merchandise being exclusive to Interarts (in India), the added charm lies in enjoying ownership of an original piece.

Interarts’ unique business model, with a flagship store in a century old heritage site in Indore, supported with the hosting of exhibitions across the country, has worked well in Interarts’ international offering of easily accessible selections that enjoy lower price points, than original home shelves overseas.

UK based Sunil and Purnima Sethi indulged in their shared passion of collecting beautiful art for over a quarter of a century. The exposure gave them an instinctive understanding of the meeting ground between sophisticated international merchandise and Indian sensibilities, thereby earning for them a unique professional standing as a gateway for the best European objet’d art in India. Their natural rapport with owners of the most eminent Design houses in Europe supported their endeavour, leading them to host their first exhibition in India in 2008. The overwhelming response catapulted Interarts growth from a four brands representation to an enterprise that showcases thirty five brands, with a collection of over 2500 products.

The core Interarts team comprises of Purnima who oversees Design and Product Sourcing, with Vidyut Lata Sethi guiding the Marketing and Finance in India. Akshay Sethi joined Interarts as Executive Director in 2011. He has a Masters degree in Architecture with Honours from the University of Nottingham, having worked with some of the best architects in the world. His insight into the design industry gave new direction to the Interarts trajectory, as he corporatised the Interarts client profile, focusing on exclusive hotel interiors. Akshay is Consultant Architect to Gensler Inc (USA), leading architectural firm.
