Speaking on the occasion Shri Ramamurthy covered the contributions of SME sector for growth of small towns and employment generation. He also praised Corporation Bank for conducting such SME Expos and making the public aware of the banking facilities and to make best use of the same.
In his presidential address, Shri N Vijaya Kumar, Deputy General Manager, explained the SME sectors growth to the economy and Bank in particular which has grown more than 36% last year. He explained how today’s SMEs can be tomorrows big corporate and quoted various success stories. The contributions of top companies like Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Bosch, Ford, Racario India P Ltd., Namdhari group of industries in Bidadi Industrial was also appreciated by him. Stalls were put up by the reputed customers of the Bank to showcase their products. Bank has drawn plan of action to conduct SME Expo in all industrial areas of Bangalore to create awareness of the Bank products and also to rope in new clients to the Bank’s fold.
Shri T R Prabhu, Asst General Manager, welcomed the gathering and explained the process of setting of SME Loan Centres for speedy disposal of proposals. Shri Jagadish Prasad proposed vote of thanks.
